In Celebration of the New England Apple
The Friends of the Eric Sloane Museum will be hosting a FREE event “In Celebration of the New England Apple” on Saturday, October 8th from 11 to 1:30 as a culmination of the 2016 programming season Eric Sloane and the New England Apple. Come taste the best of what the region has to offer when chef and food advocate Anne Gallagher cooks up some tasty apple treats followed by mini burgers grilled on apple wood served with cheddar and apple salsa. Anne deftly navigates the world of food sourcing, culinary innovation and client expectation. She layers good choices on top of unexpected choices to create dishes that are beautiful and authentic. While this event is free, you must RSVP by calling the museum.
Anne is a graduate of Natural Gourmet culinary School in New York City and has been instrumental in establishing youth programs and classes in Connecticut that offer education in healthy cooking, the importance of local ingredients and ethical food practices. Whether making dinner for your family or an elegant party, flavorful, thoughtful food that is designed for each occasion is the goal. This is exactly what Anne will be creating at the Eric Sloane Museum. Please call (860) 927-3849 and leave your contact information to register for this event.
It is the mission of the Friends of the Eric Sloane Museum to assist in the preservation and interpretation of the museum and its collections, to encourage and promote visitation and to enhance the public’s appreciation of the legacy of artist and author Eric Sloane.
